The infection came from a memberr of the production crew who flew in from the US.
They are in isolation separately at the Gold Coast University Hospital. The normal illness period is 10-14 days depending on whether the illness progresses to pneumonia. He is susceptible because of his age and because he has Type 2 diabetes. He could get very sick indeed. Time will tell.
As is the case in Australia, the hospital is a public one and healthcare is free. But as they are non residents, they will face a fee. They get the same treatment as the man in the street…same facilities, same doctors, same ICU. Amongst western nations its probably the best universal healthcare system in the world. They are taking it one day at a time.
